Bus Stop

Bus Stop by islandt

Great idea. The wide-angle and colours work very well here.

A great capture! It's a good performer that particular geysir - it used to be once every five minutes.

Like the composition and the colours. Just a bit too heavy on the sky perhaps but otherwise the HDR process has worked very well.

That's a beauty of an image! Reminds me of fractals.

Hmmm... by RobinF

Very effective - both for the shapes and the colours!

Dig It!

Great idea. You did well to get almost the entire dog in the frame.

It's on my to-do list so I appreciate your description. I think it works all the better when there is a discernable shape - as there is here.

I do like the composition and the colours. Nice one!

That is a beauty! Ticks every box - as they say.

A very nice, clean image!

As one who has attempted this type of shot in a much more haphazard manner, I can appreciate the methods used here to very good effect.

Droplets by klewis

A good clear shot with the droplets clearly defined against the background!

Another great shot (I'm viewing these in reverse)! Thanks for the explanation as well!

Pop by klewis

That is well done! Wonder if you would be willing to divulge how you did it? (Sorry if you've already done so previously!)

I've just had a quick look through your folio again. Brilliant images no matter what type of photography you turn your attention to!
How do you do it? There's probably a few answers to that but talent is right at the top!

Thanks for your recent comment on my "Crocosmia & Friend". To answer your question regarding the "High Pass Filter" method of sharpening, have a look in the Techniques area on this website. I've just checked and there is an entry for just this process. I picked it up elsewhere and have since seen it in magazines but, apart from a few variations, they are all the same.
