"Top & Tailing"

By Scuttleatflordon
This is a picture that i took recently of a pair of Green Sheild beetles going about their business. Their are many varieties of Sheild bugs, and most are fairly common. This pair of charmers have no English name just the scientific one picromerus bidens, but to me they are "green leaf bugs". It is commonly thought that these chaps feed on sap etc. but in fact they are predators and feed on caterpillars and other insect larvae.
Thanks for looking and many thanks for your kind comments and votes on my last effort.

Well spotted and captured, Peter, they are well camouflaged. I have found dozens of different varieties here in Crete, most of them 'top and tailing' like yours Wink Carol
