coniston

I have just got back home from the most awesome trip to my sisters. It was spectacular and this is the result. I was in the right place at the right time for a change and was rewarded with this breath-taking view across Coniston.

This is stunning, Tony. A beautiful composition, with outstanding light and clarity. This is just the sort of shot that will make my Cumbrian-born and bred wife very homesick indeed. Outstanding.

Thanks guys, it was freezing but well worth the wait. Shot captured at 9.00am with the sun low still. I'm very proud of this one and of my little sis who stood ground with me in those temperatures since 6.30am. We intended to capture the sunrise but it didn't show as expected. This and several others more than made up for that though.
