I didn't see the flowers as a distraction in the other pic. But i can see why you removed it. It does look much better this time. Click again!

That's better! I'd give this an award Smile
Edit: Just noticed what you've called this one. Even without knowing the variations that led to this one, it's a perfect, thought-provoking title.

An intelligent picture with a thought provoking subject and an interesting effect given to the window. It is so different - and i love it!

Just one question - is that a marker he is holding up to his nose?

Hi everyone , I really appreciate all your lovely comments ,
my friend jim was just relaxing on a shop window sill when I photographed him , I removed the background and darkened him to suit the light from the window , the window was taken in an old unused house , I added the glass with the glass filter in PS , I then converted the image to greyscale and re coloured it . josh that is a pipe he has in his hand , it has a metal shaft which does make it look like a marker . many thanks again all , best wishes sean Smile

An amazing portrait, fabulous work - the dark background works so well, perfectly positioned by that window and the subject himself has so much character. This image deserves more attention and more than an RC in my opinion!

I think you have very good sense for playing with shadow and light which results in cracking images. This one is a masterpiece i think, I like it very much.
