To enhance colour of butterfly to try and make a bit magic - also to make daughter look like a giant by shooting from as low down as possible - and I've deliberately kept her out of focus & B@W.

A clever idea and well taken (the butterfly is a Painted Lady by the way, so by colour selecting it's a brilliant pun!).

I think I would have left her finger as monotone too. When colour selecting it's a little more effective if only the butterfly is coloured - so by zooming right in and selecting just one or two pixels at a time (especially around the antennae), you won't get background colours included. It does take a lot of patience, but the end results are very eye catching! Smile

I have done another version going really close in and making it so only the butterfly was in colour, I thought it might be a bit obvious? Thought I'd try something slightly different. Thanks for comment, painted lady would have been a perfect name, I didn't know thats what they were called - I missed that one!
