Award Shortlist

the first orange tip of the year

By annettep38
First of all let me thank you for all for all those awards, really appreciated, I was in heaven Smile Sincerely hope I have thanked each and every one of you.

This is hard to follow, got some more of the little siskin's ventures and the bossy goldfinch.. but maybe another time. Don't want to bore you.

The same day there was actually some sun in the garden and I never seemed to have the right lens on. So I missed the goldcrests and the first small blue for the opposite reasons. Any hints regarding goldcrests would be very welcome, I can hear them in the row of high ashes and oaks behind the house but they are VERY fast and small.

Well, I got the first orange tip and was really chuffed with it. For Colleen : this Exif is for you

Wonderfully uplifting colours and details. Longing to catch sight of my first here but it will be a while yet I fear. Despite sunshine, still very chilly. Pleased to have been allowed to make this the half century with my click.

A cracking close up of this handsome male orangetip Annette, you've captured its wing markings in such intricate detail. I fear it will be some time before we see these over here, I've only seen two butterflies so far this year and none in the last six weeksSad
