Resting Place

Detail of the effigies believed to be of Sir John Beauchamp of Holt and his wife Joan. Taken in Worcester Cathedral. Such a beautiful Cathedral, I spent nearly two hours in there and could easily have stayed there all day for photography! Awesome history too!

Thank you for your time and as always, your thoughts/comments are very welcome.

Regards - Sarah J x

Excellent image, carefully taken with a shallow dof, hope you paid homage to King John whilst you was there.Wink

Good that you concentrated on this memorial, Sarah. Excellent choice of pov and aperture; the rich colour is appropriate.

As the poet said,
"King John was not a good man.
He had his little ways,
And sometimes no-one spoke to him
For days and days and days."
A. A. Milne

No poet ever wrote anything of the sort about Sir John Beauchamp of Holt (nor about his wife Joan, as far as I know) !!!

Excellently composed, like the dof and juxtaposition of the hands and head.

The term 'juxtaposition' was invented for images like this, Sezz Smile Perfick as you'd say down your way!

Excellent detail and pov Sarah, it's great to see the blured image of the Knight behind the main figure.
