War & Peace

By Sezz
This was taken at the War & Peace Show at The Hop Farm, Paddock Wood, Kent on Sunday. I know Dave Constable has a shot of this plane in his PF but I think mine is significantly different to warrent an upload Smile

Thanks as always for your time, your thoughts/comments are very welcome.

Regards - Sarah x

Superb image Sarah - however thankfully Luftwaffe personnel did not get many opportunities to gloat over Spitfires being shot down.

A very good looking shot indeed. I'm just thinking that a BW or sepia version would add an extra touch of "authenticity" though?

Thanks gentlemen - Dave good idea, I will have a go at that.

Yes significantly different, you must have used your charms to get the trailer moved that was such a problem to Dave.

A nice contrasty sepia sounds like a good idea.

Contrasty… Is that a word?

Excellent shot of what couldn't be easy to capture, with everone milling around. Great sky and colours. It would look good as a mono too, i think

Great shot, stood out well from the thumbnail, I love the sepia version too, maybe a touch of noise would enhance the aged effect?

I like both too: The sepia tone for it's 'authenticity', but I'm glad we got to see the original in all its glorious colours too. The D300 does get real punch into the exposures doesn't it?

What a strange arrangement, but well taken.
Not keen on the swastika draped across it - WW2 RAF pilots look away Smile
Is the Spitfire one of the few or a replica model...?

Caleb, I know what you mean about the Swastika but this was in the exhibition set up with all the German memorabilia and such like. As for the Spitfire - I'm not sure, looked pretty real to me though!
