Beast - and the beauty!

By Shaji84
Good morning all!!

Talk about venturing into newer pastures - my offering today is my first ever conscious effort towards fashion photography.. This is from a recent do I had attended.. Did not use flash - shot in ambient light.. Was in two minds about this - decided to go flashless since I did not want the background to be overpowered.. Curious to know what you folks think about it..

And if anybody is in a fix about which of the two is the beast - well, I leave that to your judgement Tongue

Many thanks for all the clicks and comments on yesterday's Monster Gobbler - have a great one!

Cheers,
Shaji

I think you made the correct decision Shaji. I'm not a fan of flash photography where people are in the scene, tends to wash out the skin tones unless its a proper full lighting set-up.
It's a nice pose and the composition works, top marks mate.

Very nice capture of nice model. Like incutions of all the bricker bracket on the walls, but maybe a slight DOF could have improved it.

I think the ambient light works very well John - brings out the gloss on her nail varnish. Grin

Very pretty model Shaji. Would like to see a shot with less clutter in the background. But then garages are made to collect clutter!!!

I see a green eyed monster, which could be the beast. And I'm almost sure the girl is the beauty. Good shot.

If you had used a flash you would have got a host of bad reflections off the shiny hardware in the background so you did the right thing!Smile
