Epping Forest Sunshine

By shaun
Something different from the Epping Forest meet on 30th October 2005. I wanted to try and capture the wonderfully atmospheric light in the woodlands. This was taken during a very brief (few seconds!) spell of sunshine. Shot directly into the sun with a small aperture to get the star flare.

Should have taken the UV filter of the front of the lens but didn't have time - hence there is a bit of flare and ghosting around the brightly lit sapling. But it does capture the mood I was after.

[22mm, f/22, 1/15s, ISO100]

Great light and you've caught the effect of the sun through the trees well

really like the sun through the trees.

A great shot, very tranquil. Its hard to find many places as photogenic as that. The sun adds a good finishing touch.

Great shot, love the low angle and the sun through the trees.
