Ebeneezer Goode

By ShedMan
Anybody wondering why I called him Ebeneezer Goode? Well, it's because these birds are "very much maligned and misunderstood" (fans of The Shamen will know what I'm on about).

Admittedly he had just chased away the juvenile Cape Sparrow I was photographing, but that's nothing unusual, all our garden birds chase each other.

The Indian Myna has a bad reputation here in South Africa, but it's a beautiful bird all the same.

Excellent close up shot. One such pair has a nest on my roof top and they really make a lot of noise ... especially when there are young ones to feed.
