A Grey Hunter

Not had much time on site of late. Hopefully this should be recopied soon.

Taken yesterday - I can't begin to say how long I've been after a half decent image of a heron. I know in some places they are accustomed to humans, but here these birds are skittish and seem to feel threatened by the presence of humans (especially those pointing a camera). Overall, I am pleased with this - it certainly constitutes my best attempt so far. However, it needed a tad of careful editing to lose a reed.

Really nice shot Adam, and it show the environment well too.
It does look as though it's crossing its legs though Grin

Excellent isolation form the bg, Adam, and a fine pose next to the reeds, which add to the image by adding context in the form of its natural habitat.
