Christmas Morning

By sherlob
So yesterday I opted to spend Christmas Morning on the top of Mam Tor. I had thought the forecast had suggested a possibility of an inversion, in reality it was just very misty. Still, for just a few moments, the cloud lowered enough to allow a brief view of the landscape between the layers of cloud that enveloped Hope valley in its entirety and that cloud above about to descend. A magical sight.

Quite a few families out for an early Christmas morning walk on the great ridge. I guess they'd had an early start with pressie's and wanted to get some air before getting stuck into the remainder of the day.

Hope you had a great day. Enjoy boxing day.

Beautiful and arty. I had thought it was a desert shot.
