This is excellent, never easy to frame on the move when you're at this focal length, very well done. The action couldn't be better here, crash landing about to happen did you take any more in the series?
All the very best

Thankyou...and thanks 'xinia' for your award
Brilliant AND amusing shot.
Bloody good for a first attempt what a cracking shot...jojo
Thankyou....and thanks Adam for the award
Sorry for not leaving a comment, but I discoverd I had a virus on my machine as I was typing it the other day - one major re-install later and the PC is now working again.
I like the composition of this. The bird in flight is by no means the sole focal point and infact the perimeter of its wing span kind of acts as an umberella that sign posts the eyes to whats happening below. The two puffins on the outer edges looking in opposite directionss couldn't be better, but my favorite is the 'bod' styled head popping up in the background. All superb. My only minor gripe is that for my taste there is too much sky - perhaps a slight crop might be in order.
Good to meet you Chris - I look forward to meeting you again sometime soon.
brilliant, thought you would have got an award for this one
WOW.....Great job capturing these little guys....
Excellent timing and capture, I would've thought you photograph them on a regular basis, not being your first.....Luv this!

It looks like you had a lot of fun and it looks like, from this shot that, you are one of those people who can.
Just had my first visit to the Farne islands. Filled 2 cards with Puffins. None as good as this, well done. Love it. Mind you, I am a novice. Watch this space ....
