Not feeling much in the mood to comment tonight - its been a tough day. In fact the only reason I'm posting this is to use up a little time and stop from thinking for a while.

Anyway, another (of many yet to come) from the Northscape weekend.

Enjoy - view large if you have the time. Comments always welcome - thanks for those on yesterdays post.

Here's an example where the thumbnail looks decidedly average, even the 600pixel version wasn't particularly screaming out, but the biggy shows the subtle pastel tonal range and the very interesting balance of foreground/distant detail. Gorgeous!

Wow! My first EC - I'll have get down in the dumps more often. Thanks Pete - I agree the thumb nail just doesn't do it justice.

Cheers for the comments and votes.

Thanks guys. And thankyou to thearmsofvenus for the award.

Gordon this was the last in a serise of shots taken at a morning shoot as part of a Northscape weekend (excellent company). It reguired standing in about 18 inches of water (and rising) - even with my new 'super' wellies I still got soaking wet feet, but it was well worth it.

Perfection Adam.

I love the subtle tones and pastel colours. The composition is the best Ive seen for a long time in this area, the castle never seems to be balanced properly but here you have achieved it perfectly wth the rocks in the foreground and the clouds in the sky shining down the shaft of light into the rock pool.

It looks magical and mystical and everywhere your eye goes there is something to look at.

Your work to me has always been fantastic (and I know how much work you put into your images) but this has a particular subtle feeling to it along with imapact.

I could live with this on my wall no problem.

Just my feelings and thoughts anyway and Ive given you my award, even though it wont cause the same euphoria as your EC. Well done and well deserved.
