Good compsition and colours, however I would have lit the piper a bit better. Even if conditions did not permit on the day, the dodge tool in photoshop would easily make huge improvments.

Everything is OK, but if I may, just one thing-what if you get some more road to the picture?

hi Mark. This is a lovely shot IMO, quite whimsical, and a well balanced composition. I agree with Matt above that a little bit of detail could be brought out in the piper in PS or whatever. The dodge tool (done at high magnification, low opacity and gradually and carefully) or the curves tool where you can alter the shape of the curve and bring up the brightness in the darkest parts..lots of food for thought.

Thanks for all your comments - I am still trying to get to grips with PS having just bought CS2 so (thanks to Matt) have been trying the dodge tool which is pretty good
I'll keep going - things can only get better!!
