Taken on the Barbican in Plymouth just as the sun was setting and darkness was closing in. The Trawler had returned to dock about 10 minutes before. 3 hand held burst bracketed shots then HDR'd and Tone Mapped in Photomatix, tweaked in psCS3.

ISO400, f7, 1/128th sec @ 46mm

Hi Gary,

Very professional use of the HDR technique. It is judicious and avoids any of the usual flaws associated with this technique (perhaps my own personal perception) such as over-saturation and/ or halos. Extremely well done.

Cheers!

Thanks for the positive commests, must admit I tried a bit harder this time to reduce the issues that you have highlighted (my previous posting proved you right!).

I could spend ages looking at your shots - I'll never get to this point, I don't think I have the stick-at-it-ness! Most of these are under-voted, if you ask me... This is lovely and dramatic, as the light at that time of day (or in, say, a thunderstorm) can be. Lovely!

I agree with the above. It certainly does deserve alot more attention. Well seen and the colours look great.
