Damselfly

By shush
I have always admired macro shots of dragonfly / damselfly posted here by other people so I decided to try my own.

I’m reasonably happy with my first attempt but I think this shot would have been better if it was a tad sharper……will have to try again to get a sharper image with more detail.

Thanks to the people who voted on my last upload and as always feel free to leave comments on this picture.

100mm, f/4.0, 1/1250s, ISO 400

A super close up with excellent detail. Like the diagonal presentation but feel a little more room bottom left would be good.

An excellent insect macro image....especially for your first attempt! Smile Great details, colours, DOF and composition! Yes, I agree with Joan....perhaps a little more open space in the bottom left corner of the image would have been appropriate, but that doesn't detract significantly from the effectiveness of the image!

Have a nice Sunday! Smile
