Time's Past

By silverwolf
I was out and about last friday taking pictures of all the new development work in Liverpool. I don't think I've ever taken so many pictures in one day and got sunburnt!
I spotted the old landing stage and this was the only structure still hanging around. It'll all disappear soon, so I had to take it! The original is in colour but didn't look right, so I desaturated in PS. The sky had no detail, so I cut it out and used one that I have on file with a bit more detail. I desaturated that and adjusted the tones slightly, I then adjusted the tones on the rest of the image and added a white border.

All comments very much appreciated.

Looks familiar. I've photographed this a few times myself. It will be a shame when it goes.

A beautiful b&w. Great work on the tones and contrast.

An atmospheric shot - almost a bit sad - so perfectly suits black and white.

Very nice b&w suits it brilliantly! Good sky too, gives it a somewhat eerie feel.

This is great. Nice contrast with the new buildings in the background. B&W treatment makes this even better.

Not sure, but I think I prefer this one to the newer version. Quite like the post peeking through the window!
