  • Fertile rock

Hmmmmmmmm, I sure wish I could take a photo of "just a rock in a river" like that.

Only 19 votes before me !! It's madness I tells ya.

    Superb.

  • Two trees and a waterfall.

Thanks Jools. Not a very exciting image I admit, and a bit of a lazy upload to be honest.
Managed a few days down in Grindelwald a few weeks back, but was with family so not much time for serious photography unfortunately. It was a drizzly kind of weather day too, so light wasn't good at all.

  • Another Water Lily.

    Thanks all.

Phil. Yeah, you're right. Petals cloned out looks better. I just uploaded a newer version. I''ve also been having a few problems with my monitor calibration of late, and newer version seems to have removed the colour cast the original version had.

Quote:Another winner for sure. How do you get to the same level as the lily without getting wet yourself or getting your gear wet??

    Mike

Thanks MIke. OK, I admit it, I'll come clean. The water feature containing the Lilies is raised a few feet off the ground. OK, I've said it. Now I feel dirty, like I've been exposed as a fraud ! Ha ha.

Nice shot. You've actually hit on something I've been trying lately. Near where I live there's a water feature with lots of lilies, and they are very hard to capture well. I find that the white petals get blown-out very easily for one, and it's hard to get a very nice shot.

    Well done.

Thanks a lot everyone. Much appreciated. Fantastic response so far. Looks like I may well be uploading a few more shots from from today ! I have one or two more that I think are also quite nice.

    Cheers,

  • Cascades de l'Hérisson remix

I didn't think there was anything wrong with the old version to be honest. Only thing I found slightly distracting was the small clump of grass at the top left. But both are super images. Nothing wrong with either. Good stuff.

  • Overgrown ruin

It definitely makes you wonder what this place was like in it's hey-day, and what went on. Seems strange to wonder that and now see it overgrown and derelict, like it's past life has been totaly forgotten. Or maybe I'm talking bollocks. I often do. ;o) Then again, it could also be to do with the bottle of red wine I had at a dinner party tonight.

Wow, I do adore your work. Everyone a winner, and the number of votes for this so far is almost criminal. Such a beautiful image.

Superb image Stuart. Absolutely beautiful processing, and quite a unique style too. So refreshing to see on ePz.

  • Frozen Trees

Thanks guys. Much appreciated. I knew it wouldn't get many votes, but I thought it worth sharing for those who may have apprciated it, because I love it. So much to see in this image and my eyes are always flitting around it trying to make things out, and surely that is the proof that it's an interesting image.
To tell you the truth, I did upload this once before and it got no votes or comments, so I took it off. I thought it worth another go now I have e2 and can show a larger version. I think the main trouble is that it makes for a messy thumbnail in the user gallery. But saying that, it's had 19 unique views so far and only 6 votes, so maybe Jools is right and it's just not the ePz taste.
Anyway, votes or no votes, I love it. And to get such nice comments from three people who all have such great PF's, helps to reinforce what I believed and makes the low vote count irrelevant. I'd rather get a few votes from photographers that who's work I admire, and also aspire to.

    So, thanks all.
