Elephant in Chobe National Park , Botswana

By brian17302
Thank you for all C & Cs on my previous image set " Pelicans "
Special thanks to SimonFletch for his UA, much appreciated

This photo was taken in Chobe National Park, Botswana
(Wonderful place for elephants)
A herd of elephants had just crossed our path in our safari 4x4 to get to the river
This elephant at the back of the herd just turned towards us for that "keep your distance stare"
A few moments later it turned again to join the rest of the herd

I love effalents! if this was mine Brian it would definitely be on a wall somewhere; I do envy you your Safari experience.

Thank you for your kind vote and comment on 'Round the Twist' I couldn't agree more about the horizon, unfortunately when taking the images, you can't see the horizon, or anything else for that matter because of the opaque filters used, there must be a way around that, but I haven't found it yet Grin

Looks like one of those youngsters, who love to throw their weight about, Brian.
A lot of ear flapping and sometimes the really unruly ones give forth a 'trumpet'.
Good shot.
