Silhouetted Trees in Black & White With Moonlight

By sjcphotography
The Moon was just above the row of trees. I couldn't include the Moon, as I needed to have one of the focus points near the road lights behind, as there wasn't enough natural light at this late time to focus. I tried to exclude the Moonlight from the shot, but I couldn't manage it, so some has crept into the top of the scene. It certainly was tricky and frustrating. I took several test shots, until I had the shot the way I liked it, with some compromises.

Do you think the moonlight adds, or detracts to the overall scene? I expect I will shoot the scene again, but I will try to exclude the moonlight.

Moonlight adds to the scene Steve, just enough halo.

The silhouetted trees and the points of light behind them make this a stand out photograph. Great use of light.
