Todays session down at the Kingfisher site was again full of activity as the pair were finishing off the second nest hole. The male came back with a fish for the female and then carried on excavating the second hole as the female utilised the fish to feed the young.A short while she inspected the nest hole and they again exchanged fish prior to copulation. This image was as the female inspected the site. Thanks for all previous comments and votes.

Beautiful image. I really must make more of an effort to add some bird images to my portfolio. But they wouldn't come up to yours.
