Suilven From Canisp

By Skinz
This is a series of images from a hike up Canisp in the Sutherland area of the Highlands of Scotland.

Canisp is a Corbett and sits just north of Ullapool. From the way up you get wonderful views of Conival and Ben More Assynt - two Munro's in the area. From the summit you get wonderful views over the Inverpolly nature reserve to Suilven (the main image in this series), south to Cul Mor and Stac Pollaidh and also North to Quinag.

The final image of the four is looking across to the Assynt Munro's with my wife trying to avoid the worst of the rocks underfoot - that was the nastiest part of the hike.

A fine set of photos, especially the last image - often wondered what the Suilven looked like from the other side

Great set of images of an iconic landscape. I find the titling a little intrusive.

Lovely photographs. I hope you don't mind my saying though that I find the titles a bit too dominant.

Some great views with good details and light and colours, well worth the hike up there.

Lovely set of images and now you have made me want to go up there again. Last time we were up Canisp it was blowing a gale, but the view is beautiful whatever the weather, as long as it's clear enough to see it, of course Smile

You did well to build the wee cairn before Tracey caught up with you Rich, a lovely set of images, Suilven is a favourite of mine has been for a few years now. You are having and now had a great trip to Assynt and the Road to the Isles. Lucky you.
