Thanks all. Alan, this is in Valley Forge National Park in Pennsylvania, about 2 km from my house. This is where George Washington's troops waited out the winter during the Revolutionary War. No battles were fought here, but there was widespread starvation, and 6-12 men had to sleep in cabins like this to avoid freezing.
