I really like the starkness of this scene as well as the contrast of the bold black tree trunks against the earth tones.

I agree with all the other comments regarding composition colour etc etc. Just one slight niggle is that the tree could do with being a touch further into the frame so that it isn't chopped in the top left corner. I suspect this could be done easily in PS if it is not on the original image.
