The Photography Show, a destination for all photographers

Hi. Welcome to SkySkapes. The photos here are a varied selection of hundreds I, like most digital owners, take most weeks. I have been taking photographs since the early 1960s. In the 1980s I won a photo competition in a national magazine and had a one man show in a local museum/gallery, speaking about it on local radio. I now feel like a beginner again with the complexities of a dSLR and processing. I joined a small camera club in order to learn digital and found myself on the committee and taking workshops teaching camera craft. Our club is affiliated to the Kent County Photographic Association. www.KCPA.co.uk

  • Plover

I know these little fellas as lapwing, also known as the green plover or peewit due to its call. You don't say where this was taken but we used to have folks of them on the marshes in SE England but I haven't seen more than a few individuals for years. Check out the RSPB website and join in the big bird watch 28th to 30th Jan 2017.

  • Fontana Di Trevi- where I threw three coins!

Great photograph. You stitched the images together well. What a crowd? We went there at night when it is less busy and illuminated.

  • Monday's colour!

This is a perfect crop that concentrates the eye on the subject. I like your portfolio, you have a good eye for a picture. Keep it up. J

  • Bright Eyes

Sorry for the "ear worm" GeorgeP, and for mixing literature references, Bright Eyes is from the film of Watership Down. Ring of Bright Water would be a more appropriate title. Thank you for your vote and comment.
