Hi. Welcome to SkySkapes. The photos here are a varied selection of hundreds I, like most digital owners, take most weeks. I have been taking photographs since the early 1960s. In the 1980s I won a photo competition in a national magazine and had a one man show in a local museum/gallery, speaking about it on local radio. I now feel like a beginner again with the complexities of a dSLR and processing. I joined a small camera club in order to learn digital and found myself on the committee and taking workshops teaching camera craft. Our club is affiliated to the Kent County Photographic Association. www.KCPA.co.uk

This works better here than when projected at camera club. Well spotted or did you ask them to park the cars there?

I like what you have done with this. I think the jury is still out on HDR for many people but your subtle use of the technique gets my vote.

I want to be there. Can you enhance the sky mate?

What a poser! A beautiful animal, and don't "he" know it. Well caught Steve.

Thanks GeorgeP. A full size sensor and 36 megapixels is the answer to the K-1 question, makes my Nikon D90 look antique. I do have some lenses for my iPhone but they don't measure up to the SLR lenses.

So much to wonder at in Venice. Take time to just wonder and then return to take photographs. I am putting together a photo book from our trip. Looks like it will go to 6 volumes!

Hi Dudler, a great photo. As you say timeless, these days he would be waring gloves and eye protection. This has given my inspiration for our next club competition "an item from the tool box".

I take you recommend the Sigma lens.
