SkySkape

Hi. Welcome to SkySkapes. The photos here are a varied selection of hundreds I, like most digital owners, take most weeks. I have been taking photographs since the early 1960s. In the 1980s I won a photo competition in a national magazine and had a one man show in a local museum/gallery, speaking about it on local radio. I now feel like a beginner again with the complexities of a dSLR and processing.

So much to wonder at in Venice. Take time to just wonder and then return to take photographs. I am putting together a photo book from our trip. Looks like it will go to 6 volumes!

Hi Dudler, a great photo. As you say timeless, these days he would be waring gloves and eye protection. This has given my inspiration for our next club competition "an item from the tool box".

I take you recommend the Sigma lens.

I entered this in our club open competition and scored 19 out of 20. The judge thought it should by in portriate format rather than square. I am uploading another image in 16x20 portrait.

I find they don't like being photographed. Maybe you got this because he thought you were just taking Tower Bridge.

Amazing, Fabulous. I am trying astrophotography myself but find it difficult to see what I'm doing in the dark. Any tips?

Assume you also used tracking gear for this one. Did you use any filters?

Thank all for your comments and mods. Like everyone with a new toy I have been pushing all the buttons to see what they do. What I love most about my re-working is the effect on the water droplets. Re shutter speed banehawi, it was raining at the time so very dark sky. I did use a tripod.

    Thanks again guys.

    Seasons greetings.
