A nice day out

Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

A nice day out

26 Feb 2015 5:42PM   Views : 500 Unique : 270

Well, I've had a super day today. The last few weeks have been very stressful and I've not been out anywhere. But today it chucked it down with rain and the builders knocked off early in the morning. Oh joy! I got a bargain coat in the sales up in London and bought a dress!!!!!!! I know - horror - but it suits any occasion and is rather funky. I hate dresses but sometimes you have to wear one, although not if you're a bloke, if you're lucky. Anyway, had a good old shop and then realised why I'd earmarked the shoes I was wearing for the charity shop, but I managed to hobble to the Photographers' Gallery for a very nice lunch and bought a couple of books while I was there. Then back home to chaos.

Oh well, only another couple of weeks and it'll be all over.

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...
