A Rubbish Walk

Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

A Rubbish Walk

4 Sep 2014 4:08PM   Views : 318 Unique : 216

Started at Brick Lane. I think I got there too early because it was closed but I detoured around Spitalfields Market while I was there anyway. Then walked up Bishopsgate to pop into TKMaxx then on to St Paul's, over the bridge, and into Tate Mod for lunch. The queues were too long there though so I popped into Eat and got a duck wrap and a juice and sat on a bench by the Thames and watched the world go by. All that time I never even felt the urge to photograph anything, but as I was eating my lunch I noticed that someone had left a used teabag on the railings so I just snapped that while I was resting. Onwards and upwards, past the National and over Waterloo Bridge to the tube. Took a quick snap of rubbish that had been thrown over the bridge on the way, then slobbed out until I got to Stratford, where I stopped off to get some towels. Didn't have any I liked so finished my journey home. Totally pooped, and all I got was a couple of rubbish shots. Smile

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...
