Anything, Anything at all .....

When each weekend for three weeks you've been visiting every furniture shop you can think of looking for dining room stuff and finding it all so teeeeeediously boring, and not having had the chance to get out doing proper photography even though you've got a new camera, I'm afraid in a fit of "anything will do" syndrome this is the plumber's shop round the corner snapped as I was waiting at traffic lights. A suitable case for treatment, I'd say. Me, not the plumber. Blush

We've got our open day at the stables tomorrow so I'll be there walking around in the heat dragging equally hot horses around doing a demonstration and probably helping out on a stall as well so I hope I last the course. Me and heat - bad combination. Supposed to be hottest day of the year too - typical! Sad

We've just been doing that. Many months and even more shops!

In the end I found a rather nice oak dining table (from the local garden centre). Real solid wood, very heavy (it took three men to deliver it). But I didn't like the tall chairs that went with it, I need to actually use the table and felt the chairs made it into a cage! I opted for 'buy 1 get one half price' from Argos! (Also in oak. Came in packs of 2 and 'saved' me 120!). They go well together.

I know what you mean Karen. I fancy a nice round table and I've seen one I like but the chairs'll have to be bought separately. All the furniture we've seen so far is so boring and I rather wanted something a little bit different rather than just planks of wood. It's difficult though. I'll have a look at Argos, and also sometimes they have some nice stuff in Wilkinsons, of all places. I'm not stuffy about matching things, in fact I prefer not to, but I'm getting jaded now. Hubs has seen something he likes, but I don't. I'm not giving in this time. Grin

Quote:( from the local garden centre)

Not such a stupid suggestion as where I am you can get almost anything you want in Garden Centres these days, even photographers selling their framed prints ( not mine unfortunately )

I even got my sister's birthday card in one a couple of years ago ! !
