Farewell Old Fence

Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

Farewell Old Fence

We got a lovely new fence last week so we had to dispose of the rotted old one. The council take away some stuff free, then after so many points you have to pay. We got rid of a whole bedroom suite for £20 so I was surprised that they wanted over £100!!!!!!! to take away 7 fence panels and a 7 small top trellises. Well, they will take 3 panels for free but the rest have now been broken up and are at this moment in time are being incinerated in our garden. No wonder people dump stuff. £100!!! I ask you!

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...

No point system up here Chris and there's nothing taken away free. Its amazing what appears from nowhere during the dark hours!

Even though we've got a very accommodating council as far as waste goes, our once lovely clean streets and roads are now constantly clogged up with flytipped rubbish. From dirty nappies and household waste, to matresses and sofas. Lazy people.

Ah, but garden fences are considered to be Special Waste or something and you have to get permission from the council to take it to the tip. Then you've got to get it there. 7 fences and 7 trellises is a lot of fence. Grin
