Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

Fenced In

Phew, after a load of huffing and puffing we've managed to secure a 4m cane fence along the garden. The previous owner of the house next door tore all the mature bushes and plants out, taking half the fence with them, so we've been left with flapping fence panels or none at all and a tacky view of a white plastic shed. Seeing as the house has now been sold on and is being rented there's little or no chance the new owner will replace the fence so we botched something up ourselves. It's really quite good. The canes are tall and make the side look tidy, there's space between the canes so the wind can get through and it doesn't stop the light too much. So, for a reasonable price we've got a wind-break and a bit more privacy. It also stops the boys' washing blowing over into our garden too. Result! Smile It's not perfect, but much better.

It's been a busy week. Went to the theatre twice. At the first show (12 Angry Men) some people behind us talked and sniggered all the way through, even though the play was a serious piece. We told them off at the end, which was fun. Then we went for tapas and wine which was even more fun. Super duper. Next night was King Lear. Gawd, what a bore. I left at half time as I couldn't hear what they were saying properly and even when I did I couldn't make out what was going on. Last night was dog-sitting for friends round their house and today I've just been chilling out, visiting mum and eating. Smile

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...
