Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

I know nothing about flash but seeing as it's lashing down again outside I've been trying out the on-camera flash on my 60D and the 17-55mm 2.8 lens at various settings. And I did actually learn something, although not a lot. I wondered why I kept getting a dark half circle at the bottom of all my shots. Taking the lens hood off solved that one - partly. But then I discovered that even with the hood off you have to be careful of distance to subject and focal length. I hardly ever, if ever, use flash, but it was good to try. Got bored very quickly so this is about all I've done. A bit of my messy pencil box.

Have also been experimenting with the new cheap-as-chips MG3250 Canon printer but the photo prints are pants. As expected - it only cost £50, but the OH has a pro-printer so all is not lost.

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...
