What a lovely day it was yesterday. We went to Heybridge Basin, an outlet to the sea near Maldon, Essex. It's lovely to walk along the shoreline and there was lots going on. Lots of little yachts and craft out on the calm sea and we stopped for lemon meringue pie with ice cream at the tea shop - it was too early for the pub. Here's just a pic of the rigging from a couple of the barges that were moored past the lock on the canal. I tried out the polariser on the G5 for the first time and it worked well, although the sun was so bright and I had sunglasses on so I couldn't see a thing I was doing. Luckily when I downloaded the pics onto the computer the images were all OK - exposure-wise anyway.
Off out to see the Viking exhibition at the British Museum soon, then we'll be setting up the new telescope that the OH has bought me for my birthday. How lovely.
