Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

Highest in the UK

To celebrate our 26th wedding anniversary, hubs and me went to the Duck and Waffle at the top of the Heron Tower yesterday. It's the highest restaurant in the UK (40th floor) and the views over London are fab. In the 2nd picture, on the right at the bottom you can just see a tiny Tower Bridge. It was a bit of a mixture weatherwise all day and although it was sunny but drizzling when we were having dinner, we could see right over to Dagenham to the east where it was getting a bit of a thunderstorm and heavy rain. SmileSmileSmile When the rainbow came out over London about half the diners got up and took photos, my husband included.

These are two pics taken on his smartphone. For once, I didn't take a camera out with me. What on Earth was I thinking!!! Blush

The difference in colour is due to vagaries of light and equipment, although taken within a minute of each other. I couldn't do much in photoshop but these give an idea. The dirt and raindrops were on the outside (obs) and I was unable to clone them all out so I left them in. Smile

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...

Art is Fun

Had a brill day at the Royal Academy yesterday. It's a good year with lots of very good artwork, and some rather dodgy stuff too but that's what makes it so much fun and interesting. Joe Lycett was wandering around talking to people - he's such a nic...
