Not So Wet

Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

Not So Wet

10 Feb 2014 4:18PM   Views : 583 Unique : 411

Had a chink in the wet weather today so I toddled off to London. Took a few pics, but mainly just wanted to give the 17-55mm f/2.8 a run out. Blimey, you don't realise how heavy the DSLRs are with a proper lens attached until you've used the M43s for a while. Made my shoulder proper ache. Anyway, it was a nice day so I didn't really mind. I felt rather conspicuous though walking around with the 60D and heavy lens. Everyone else I saw had the smaller set-ups. Still, dinosaurs were big too weren't they? Blush

I love the lens though. Even at 17mm at f2.8 there was no distortion, unlike the 15-85mm which barrelled really badly so I sold it pretty quickly in frustration.

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...
