Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

  • Phone pic

I was trying out the camera on my old phone earlier, just to see if I ever thought it might be worth upgrading to a swanky phone with a view to taking pics with it rather than carry around a compact camera. I don't think it's worth forking out a fort...

  • Grizzly

Frostie has just surpassed himself in the very naughty boy stakes. He came in the cat flap with a sparrow in his mouth but when he saw me he dashed out again. He then sat on the lawn and ate the whole sparrow, head, legs, feathers - the lot. Then ...

  • Light as a Feather

We've had a jay visit our garden recently, an unusual occurrence. But I found a tiny feather on the lawn earlier today and it's so pretty I think I'll keep it. Photographing it was weird as the light seemed to strobe over it.

  • A Try Out

Having sorted out all my kit this week I've been experimenting with my old Canon 400D and various lenses. I like the little 400D as it's very quiet and lighweight, although it doesn't have all the bells and whistles current models have. Anyway, thi...

  • Sammy the Snail

Just a little critter found on the window sill. He was very cute. :) It'd just eaten a laburnum petal. :):):)

  • True Colours

OK, so Frostie's been a Very Naughty Boy. Anyone need a mouser??? He catches mice in the garden, plays with them, then I'm absolutely positive he eats them. He comes home licking his lips and looking a bit droopy. He then sleeps it off for a few h...

  • A Hard Day at the Office

My workpal Lou with one of our dogs in training. Well, this one's failed his training and is up for rehoming which is why Lou and doggy are having a cuddle on the floor (sorry, can't remember the dog's name now - we see so many). Gosh, it's so har...

  • Joe Jackson

We could only get tickets in the Gods for this latest concert but I snapped a few souvenir shots. They're pretty bad, and to be honest, the ones I took at the last concert with my little Canon S100 are better. Surprising. Anyway, Joe was accompanie...

  • Quantish

When I was in senior school we were allowed to make our own summer uniform in needlework class. I hated needlework, but at that time Mary Quant was all the rage so I chose a Butterick pattern and made my dress up in the school colours of blue and gr...

  • White? Cat

Don't ever get a white cat. They may be cute and fluffy when they've had a wash, but they usually look grubby, like Frostie here. Typical boy. :)

  • Frostie at the Dog and Duck and with Fat Tabby

Frostie is being extra cute these days. This doggy doorstop was my lovely old cat Gracie's favourite companion, and it looks as if Frostie is going the same way. He loves his duck toy too, so he spends a lot of time on the rug with them both. He a...

  • Try a Bit Later

Half way through the ironing I decided to have a break and do something on the computer. Half an hour later I thought I'd better get back to work but something stopped.me. Such a naughty boy. :)

  • What Is It?

My brother has just rehomed another dog, but surely not a breed that we're likely to see at Crufts this week. :D He's a bit of a mash-up but is, apparently, very gentle. Can't wait to meet Eddie. :)

If you want people to put rubbish in the proper place, make it easy, as they have done at the Olympic Park, Stratford. :)
