Last week I went to Somerset House to see the Sony World Photography winners. Brilliant exhibition and very nicely laid out. Very aspirational. It's said that we're supposed to look at lots of other people's work to learn from it but when they're pictures from all over the world they always look so much more interesting than those places I have access to at home. I can still dream though.
The second exhibition was the work of the late Steve McQueen, fashion designer, at the V&A. Even if you're not in the least bit interested in fashion, the garments and accessories on display were amazing, so theatrical and intricate in detail. A very well put together exhibition, and plenty of men were looking around too. Tickets aren't cheap but I'd never ever get to see such things otherwise.
Meanwhile, Frankie has taken over my favourite chair already. Talk about all four paws under the table, and his owners haven't even moved yet!
