Why Buy Another One?

Thanks for dropping by. All clicks and comments very much appreciated. Smile

I like documentary and street photography, but a bit of anything else on the side. I tend not to use Photoshop too much, just sticking to the basic adjustments, but sometimes break free to try something "arty".

Thank you for visiting. I love seeing all your photos and hope you like mine.

Why Buy Another One?

Every now and again I get the urge to buy some nice, new equipment. Having sold my Canon 50mm f1.8 a while ago, I thought I might like the f1.4, having forgotten that I've already got a 40mm f2.8 pancake lens. Anyway, I put it on the camera and took a trip around the garden, and quite honestly, it was lovely to use. I think I can do without the extra 10mm, and have saved myself £200 (used) in the process. Sometimes we forget that we have perfectly good gear and really don't need those expensive extras. This is taken at f2.8 - good enough for me.

A Lovely Day in the Park

The day was lovely and fresh after the storms of the past week, and the air was clean and bright. Lots of families out in the park enjoying the cooler weather.

Messing with the Mirror

Thought I'd use my little Lumix 20mm lens for a bit, so just went around the house and garden snapping stuff. I did a selfie in my 3-way mirror so it's here, just for the record. Will try it on some street stuff soon - I'd forgotten how nice it is....

Fox

Just a record shot of one of my garden foxes showing its teeth. Didn't realise they were so big.

Wildlife in the Park

It was all happening in the park. The warm weather brought out a load of wildlife, most of which was moving too fast to snap, but I got a couple. The only slow things were some rather large terrapins who were parked on an unused coot's nest, sunbath...

Wise decision. Sometimes i think we have tooo much stuff and that a lot of it just sits gathering dust. My wife has been ill for a long time but is starting to feel a bit better now and my camera gear has been sitting unused mostly because of that. I think i will take more pictures, especially when the better weather comes.

Hi Umberto. Your gear will seem like new if you haven't used it for a while. I always say, never again, but it's so tempting to get new stuff. But enough really is enough. Smile
Hoping your wife is on the mend.

Same with me and not only camera gear !
Clothes from outdoor specialist Paramo for example, is my current main weakness
