Late

By SlowSong
Missed the weekly b/w challenge by a day as I hadn't gone out anywhere but better late than never. Here's a colour version of last week's theme which was gravestones, et al. Taken in the Postman's Garden in the City of London.

I love the single camellia bloom, Chris, an excellent composition, well spotted and captured. Carol

My sort of shot, vibrant life and cold death. In a very satisfying square crop.

A grave subject lifted by the inclusion of the red flower, Chris. The foliage also suggesting this was somewhat hidden away, adding a slightly mysterious feel to the image.

I can image you creeping about the undergrowth, Chris. The red bloom is intense against the greys and greens.

The camellia really is lovely against the grey Chris.

Perfect as a square crop Chris and I wish you had made the challenge - I'm envisioning this in mono, but the muted tones in this are beautiful. Love the branch across the headstone and the stark red flower proclaiming life.

A nicely framed shot of this little corner of the graveyard, Chris - like the splash of red, really adds to the shot Smile

Perfectly composed and shot, Chris. That red provides such a lovely burst of life.
