The Wanderer

By SlowSong
I had no idea how to title this image, but as this guy just happened to wander into my shot of the gates I settled on The Wanderer. Actually, I had seen him coming a way off while I was lining up a shot of the gates and decided to prevaricate until he was in the frame.

Well caught. Some interesting reflections in that window, too. And why are those fish flying by?

This is rather cool actually. I like the way that the focus is on the background, rather than the guy - it makes it feel much more like he IS a wanderer into your image, rather than the main player. I also like the way he's actually going against the direction that the fish in the background seem to be swimming in ... I may have called it "Against the Tide", but then I've got a weird brain! I like this candid in mono, Chris. I also like the literary reference of the title.

Definately a likely lad from the sixties. Fag in mouth, wondering who the heck are you.

Thought at first you had captured Pete Doherty, Chris...looks like a typical image of him - the hat, the fag.
