Tension Cables

By SlowSong
I liked the look of the huge bolts holding the tension cables of the Millennium Bridge, but decided to jazz them up a bit.

PS. I changed the background colour as per DaveU's suggestion. The white keyline is just different sizes now.

Thanks for looking.
Chris

A "simple" image but strong lines and good repeats ... it holds the interest well. Just thinking it may have a little more impact if presented on a black background with a thin white keyline?

Strong, menacing, like alien claws. I agree with DaveU's suggestion re presentation.

Wonderful image, really great spot and capture. I'm not keen on the keyline, the subect has a shape and balance that makes a thin border look out of square but the image is terrific.

great approach for an abstract image - it is always a wonderful thing to find something interesting that would probably usually go unnoticed and makes a strong full of impact creation Grin

i like doing similar thing with macro photography finding interesting shapes and patterns in tiny stuff Grin

I prefer the narrower border on V2.

The shot looks slightly dostorted to me, like you've reduced the height of the shot but not the width, squashing it downward slightly. Could be just the angle.
