The Lamp and Gherkin

By SlowSong
This is an old lamp on the wall of the Tower of London, and in the background you can see the Gherkin and various other older buildings.
Posterised and noisy.

Thanks for looking.
Chris

This stands up well to the illustrative treatment which enhances the contrast between the antique lamp and the 'spaceship' waiting to blast off.

The title could be a pub name Smile This is a superbly composed and eye-catching image. I think it would also work well in mono.

I like the composition and the processing is great - it always works well where there are lots of lines, and I really like the effect on the "rocket" and the many windows and bricks

Very nice shot! Is that the window washer track on the bullet shaped building in the background? I have never noticed that before.

I like the composition -- the lamp does a great job of filling the gap between the Gherkin and the building. Not such a fan of the processing, though..
