i like this picture but its location let it down [the fence in the back ground] not my mother-in-laws garden.let me know what you think and how i could improve it.

Lovely low level shot. I would take out the BG and put a plain dark one in with maybe some special lighting effects.

lovely angle and pastel tones
- You could darken and blur the background or replace it with one in muted and dark tones

It would be relatively easy to change the background or, if you don't want to alter the image content, just tone it right down being very careful to retain that glorious backlit glow.
If presented with a similar opportunity consider placing a different background behind, try experimenting with making your own. Just make sure they are far enough away to go out of focus.

You can't beat a bit of black velvet, look at mine. Still a good shot despite the b/ground
