Carrick Castle

By snapbandit
Added a more interesting sky & adjusted levels, saturation & tones to try to make it all blend.

I don't do much manipulation normally so any advice/criticism/comments most welcome!

The castle is great.
Personnally i think the clouds at the top are a little dark and distracting.
But the rest of the pic is spot on.

Excellent manipulation, the only comment might be on the sharp lines of the contour of the castle walls against the using a slightly larger pixeled area or using a blur just to merge the two together a bit more might have sooftened it just a tad. But It is a superb image.

James got there before me on the sharpness of the castle lines. Anyway it does however make for a dramatic "3D" shot.( I wish I waass, in la la) PAul

Really like this, quite good to see a landmark I know. I actually took a drive to carrick on saturday and took a few pics but non turned out as well as I had planned.

Looking at the small version, I couldn't see any sharp lines. The large version shows it, however, I do think its a great photo and lovely bit of manipulation.

very well manipulated...perhaps a little feathering would help the edges, otherwise...cracking!

Many thanks for the comments, I'll have a go at feathering/softening the edges & see how that looks, much appreciation for the feedback & advice everyone.

I loved the thumbnail as the sky was so dramatic. It's the best castle shot I've seen in a along time. My only minor quibble is the leaning walls of the castle - but apart from that it's an excellent shot. I'm sure the local tourist information centre will be very interested in it!

Nice work, I don't like the large text and font though.
