ThistleAnother good composition and presentation. Just losing sharpest focus on thistle head. Maybe f8 and a tripod would have done the trick? Sorry to seem hyper critical, Kate. Got my judge's head on! Did you get your focal point prioritised to that head?

Green & Pink

Green & PinkA lot to like in this one, Kate. The bottles are certainly "floating" and need shadows to give them a base. An excellent exponent of digital fine art photography gave me this tip re adding a shadow. I quote: "a fine dark line around the base of the object (bottle, lamp post or whatever) sits it firmly on the ground. Then draw out the shadow away from the direction of the light, gradually fading it out as it recedes. Do all this on a separate layer, ABOVE the image you want the shadow on. That way, if you mess up, you can bin that layer and try again without messing up your photo."
Hope this helps?

Spring Medley

Spring MedleyGosh! What have I done, Kate? You've certainly gone in totally the other direction this time! Love the background - and the lighting is excellent. But - - less is usually more! Any one of your containers and flowers on their own would work well, I think! However, maybe just remove the brown bottle and yellow pansy? See how it obscures the blue bottle behind it? Also, consider separation between blooms? They are tending to "tangle up" in the middle a bit.
Hypercritical so-and-so, aren't I? Apologies if you think so - but it is offered in the spirit of "constructive" comment.
I am a huge admirer of your work - as you know!!

Love and kisses!!! xxxx
