Severn Frost

By sneazy
Taken during the last real good hoar frost around these parts. Thought it was apt as the weather cools and we start to get some frosty mornings again. This is the River Severn near Shrewsbury. It was around -6deg and as the sun went down it was bitterly cold, my fingers didn't work by the end! This was laten mid-late afternoon, it didn't get warm enough all day to melt anything! I like how there is a difference in colour temp between the left hand bank and the sky bathed in light and the right hand bank and River in cool shadow. This year has been really mild so far hasn't it......
