Stiperstones Dawn

By sneazy
An image from last year. An early morning rise and an hours drive in the dark to reach Stiperstones in the midst of the Shropshire Hills. I walked up the first part of the hill where it is relatively easy followed by a large number of sheep! Every time I turned around they stopped and stared at me - so i would carry on......at this point I started to talk to sheep...at one point it actually reached swearing...I didn't want 15-20 sheep cramping my style and the sun was coming up!!! Tongue If anybody else was about it must have been hilarious! Grin
Towards the top of Stiperstones the walk gets more tricky as you can see from the image there are thousands of strewn rocks, many showing pieces of quartz. This was taken just below the "Devils Chair" at the top.

I have since had another similar experience with sheep in Shropshire. Do they ever get fed?!Wink

Hope you are having a good weekend.

Mark

Long time since I walked up here - can be awful if it's windy! Love the details of the rocks and the glorious colour of the sunrise.
