Bubbles

Hi all! I got my extension tubes just before I went to Himos last week and decided to use them on this glass of beer. As you can see the tubes really help focus closer than without them. This is a 98% full frame photo, no other cropping than leveling the photo (it was tilting a wee bit). The biggest bubbles here are about 0.5mm in diameter.

Better viewed big.

Info: ISO100, f/5.6, 1/4sec

Yes, the lighting really makes this one go down smoothly! I can see why this would bubble up to the RC page!

The quality of the bubbles is amazing - they almost look as though they are very shiny ball bearings. There is also a great feeling depth on the underside where the bubbles join the beer and fade into the distance.

Nicely observed.
