I think this filter/effect has taken a little too much of the contrast away. It has made the picture a bit dull. You could try increasing the contrast and making it bit darker to show more details.

The photo itself looks pretty good, and I like the tone you've used as well.

Hi Tom, I agree with Duncan about the filter. Slightly less opaque and it may well work well. The original looks like it could be good in b&w.

Nice work Tom, its good to play around with PS, also think it would look good in B/W click, Gwyn
